Rough Guide to Genesis
Sunday Mornings
Genesis meets on Sundays mornings when there is junior church. We leave the service earlier than the younger ones to give us a bit more time (after first hymn, before children’s address).
Genesis is divided into years 7 to 9 and years 10 and above. The group will be all together for the start of the meeting when we have a time of worship and an ice breaker game and then the group splits for discussion/Bible study etc. The morning ends with everyone altogether again for biscuits and fellowship.
Monthly socials
Once a month Genesis meet on a Saturday for a social events:- During the winter we have movie nights 5.30 to 8.30. During the summer months, Genesis enjoy events such as hiking and bike rides.
Extras
Plans for the future include, Sleep overs, meeting with other youth groups for shared projects/socials.
We recently held our very first sleep over weekend in Cumbria, this was a huge success enjoyed by all, very tiring but worth it!
